WalmartSUPPORTS SUBSTATION
4/30/09-- The Walmart Foundation has made a generous donation on behalf of the Rostraver Walmart Supercenter and Manager Jim Lowe to support the Finley Road Substation project.  The contribution will help offset the costs involved with adding Squad 105, the engine housed in the new station, to our fleet.  The new substation, being constructed on the property of the Amcel Center, will benefit the commercial area Walmart calls home with improved response times.  Thanks to the Rostraver store for their generosity!

BARN DESTROYED BY FIRE
4/16/09-- Township companies battled a fire involving a barn on McKenery Drive.  The fire engulfed the barn and an adjoining shed, but did not spread to any occupied structures.  Crews used portable monitors and the masters streams of Truck 105 and a ladder truck from Station 31 (Webster).  Station 139 (Washington Twp) responded for a tanker assist.  The fire was immediately considered suspicious, due to the lack of utilities in the structure.  Rostraver Police have made arrests for arson and related charges in the case.  No injuries were reported.
