RCFD has been awarded a grant from the Act 13 Unconventional Gas Well Fund (UGWF) Grant Program, administered by the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. The $3,540 grant will be used to upgrade special hazards firefighting equipment that can be used on unconventional gas well site responses. The Act 13 UGWF Grant Program provides grants for volunteer and career fire, emergency medical services, and rescue companies throughout the 40 counties of Pennsylvania where unconventional gas well drilling has been permitted and who respond to gas well related emergencies.
